JRpassions has been in business for 3 years, started in 2005 by Jim. In 2007, JRpassions was updated when Jim partnered with Jenn and Rachael. While JRpassions is fairly new to the photography market, Jenn and Jim are not new to photography.

Jim is a self-taught photographer who has been practicing well before he began JRpassions. Jenn, on the other hand, found passion for photography her first year of college, while she was majoring in communications. After that first year, she worked for a year at a department store studio and began her 4 year degree program at the PA College of Art and Design. She will graduate in 2010 with a bachelor of fine arts with a concentration in photography. Rachael currently holds a bachelors degree in business and is working towards a degree in marketing. She is the mastermind behind how JRpassions runs (we mostly just use her to do our taxes, just kidding!). Rachael is in the process of learning from both Jenn and Jim about how to photograph, but for the most part she assists both Jenn and Jim, handing off lenses and holding our other weird camera gear.

While Jim is self-taught in the digital world, Jenn still continues to work with both film and digital. We prefer to shoot digital because of many different reasons, but upon request, we can use film along with digital.
